After a grueling camp of almost 4 months including a thrilling bilateral series against Qatar (1-2), Kuwait Cricket selection panel finalized the list of its 18 probables earlier in June (for both Qatar & Singapore) on the basis of domestic and international performances, talent, eligibility, fitness, discipline, team combination, expected conditions in Singapore and overall approach to the #spiritOfCricket.

The final 14 to Singapore has been selected exclusively by the national coach #Pushpakumara who is a former Sri Lankan International cricketer with a vast experience in international coaching and has been with the Kuwait probables for two and a half months and believes that the team has the ability to do extremely well in Singapore provided they play to the best of their potential and talent.
#Kuwait (ranked 28th) will be up against hosts #Singapore (23), #Malaysia (35) #Qatar (21) and #Nepal (11) in a round robin format and the winner of the tournament will qualify for the ICC T20 Global Qualifiers scheduled to take place in the #UAE later this year followed by the T20 World Cup in Australia in the year 2020.
Each match carries its own significance for Kuwait as a win against any opposition in Singapore will add significant points towards the T20I global rankings.
